As the 2024-2025 school year begins, Indy Gateway and a new class of construction trade students begin to work on a home for the Area 31 initiative. The annual project also will benefit from a handful of returning seniors. This will be the sixth home build since the initiative began. The house, located in the Drexel Garden neighborhood, will be complete by May 2025.
The initiative is part of Indy Gateway’s efforts to offer affordable, quality housing on the west side, while helping younger generations develop skills and experience in the important trade professions that remain vital to our communities.
