Indy Gateway Executive Director Lisa Bentley participated in the “Love Where You Are” community cleanup on March 13. She assisted the Village of Chapel Glen, Chapel Glen Elementary and Chapelwood Elementary communities in cleaning up Country Club Rd. between Rockville Rd. and 10th St. The group counted 91 bags of trash taken to the dumpsters.
Love Where You Are is a grassroots movement organized with the help of community leaders. As community champions, participating groups commit to cleaning up a roadside in the area of their choice. More than a beautiful community, the community leaders hope participants develop greater unity and awareness and, ultimately, experience a renewed sense of pride and ownership. Can we change everything in 48 hours? No, but we can be the start of that change!
